Malacañang has promoted another regional trial court (RTC) judge as associate justice of the Court of Appeals, the second highest court in the country.

Her appointment was the fifth for the CA this month of January. Earlier appointed were CA Associate Justices Jennifer Joy Chua Ong, Michael P. Ong, Maximo M. De Leon, and Jacinto Gavino Fajardo Jr. Chua Ong, Ong, and De Leon have taken their oaths of office before Chief Justice Gesmundo and thereafter assumed their posts in the appellate court.

It was not known immediately if Justice Fajardo has also taken his oath and assumed his new CA post.
