Almost all officials and personnel of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 4-A have been relieved.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino made the decision.
The move affects about 60 government personnel.
This includes the agency's head in the CALABARZON – PDEA Region 4A Director Art Grande.
Aquino says he made the order after finding out that Grande himself signed the identification cards (IDs) of two persons in Parañaque who were posing as 'confidential agents.'
Aquino explains PDEA does not hire confidential agents.
They only get 'assets' and these personnel would sign contracts.
Aquino has replaced Grande.
About 34 PDEA personnel from other regions are set to fill the vacancies in the regional office.
