Weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring a new Low Pressure Area (LPA) which may develop into a storm.

Weather Forecaster Obet Badrina says, it is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow, but if it increases in speed, it may arrive as early as today.

The weather disturbance may approach the Philippine archipelago through Visayas or Mindanao.

It may become a storm by Thursday and Friday.

The LPA may be characterized by heavy rains.

Badrina says, they can form a more concrete prediction once the LPA has become a storm.

It will be called Vinta when it becomes a tropical depression.

Meanwhile, tropical depression Orduja has left PAR.

It is currently located 430 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa in Palawan.

Urduja is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 60 kph.

The tropical depression is heading west southwest towards Vietnam at 18 kph.
