At least one person has been killed as tropical storm Urduja batters several areas in Visayas.
National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director Ricardo Jalad says, a two-year-old kid drowned in floodwaters in Leyte yesterday.
The agency is still confirming reports about two more fatalities.
It received reports that a fisherman died in Southern Leyte while a another person was killed in landslide in Biliran.
Meanwhile, Eastern Samar Acting Governor Marcelo Picardal says, about 26,000 families in his province have been affected by widespread floodings.
Around 10,000 families have moved to evacuation centers.
Picardal reports, they have augmented their supply of relief goods yesterday afternoon.
He is appealing for aid from the national government.
He has asked the provincial council to declare a state of calamity in Eastern Samar.
At least 3 are reported missing in the province.
Meanwhile, Tacloban City is currently experiencing strong winds.
There is also power outage in the area.
