Senator Antonio Trillanes is set to file libel charges against a blogger for allegedly spreading fake news.
His lawyers are preparing the complaint against "Thinking Pinoy" blogger RJ Nieto.
At the Kapihan sa Senado on Tuesday, Trillanes said Nieto had spread bogus news about him.
"Tinawag daw ako ni President Trump na little narco (he said President had called me little narco)," the senator recalled.
"Maliwanag na yun doon sa US government website on presidential pronouncements and interviews, wala talaga doon. So kasinungalingan yan talaga (it is clear that in the US government website on presidential pronouncements and interviews, the item is not there. So that is really a lie)," the senator stressed.
