Independence Day fair offers 100,000 jobs

Over 100,000 job opportunities will be offered in various job and business fairs nationwide in commemoration of the 119th anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said.

“A total of 680 participating employers will bring with them 123,330 local, overseas, and government jobs in the 21 Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan [TNK] job and business fairs to be held in 14 regions throughout the country,” he said.

Bello urged jobseekers to take advantage of the employment facilitation service that the DoLE is bringing closer to the public.

He also reminded applicants to bring the following application requirements: resume or curriculum vitae (bring extra copies for multiple job applications); 2 x 2 ID pictures; certificate of employment for those formerly employed; diploma and/or transcript of records; and authenticated birth certificate.

The top local jobs with the most number of vacancies are: customer service representative; production worker/factory Worker, production helper; production machine operator; sales associate professional/sales clerk/sales representative; call center agent; Police Officer (PO1) (CARAGA); service crew; cashier; quality control Inspector; merchandiser; marketing assistant; kitchen staff; salesman; Accounting Assistant; Intelligence Officer (Government) (CAR); Retail and Sales Agent; Technical Support Representative, sewer; company driver and staff nurse.

He said overseas employment is also open.

“The Independence Day job and business fairs replicate the Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan [TNK] initiative of the DoLE and the Department of Trade and Industry [DTI], which aims to bring employment opportunities and entrepreneurship at the grassroots level,” Bello added.
