Free rides for MRT and LRT passengers on Monday

Commuters of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 3 and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) 1 and 2 will be given free rides for some hours on Monday, June 12, 2017.

This is in view of the Independence Day.

Free rides will be from from 7 am to 9 am and then again from 5 pm to 7 pm.

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines made the announcement.

The country will mark the 119^th anniversary of the proclamation of Independence Day on Monday.

The theme of the celebration is “Kalayaan 2017: Pagbabagong Sama-samang Balikatin.”
