The Makati Public Employment Service Office (Makati-PESO) led counterparts in Bracket 2 in receiving awards by the Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region.

In a report to Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay, city personnel officer and Makati-PESO manager Vissia Marie Aldon said the category is composed of local government units with a population of 400,001 to 600,000 such as Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Valenzuela and Parañaque.

She said four out of eight awards for DOLE core programs included “Best PESO in Career and Employment Coaching”; “Best Peso for Highest SPES Placement”; “Best PESO in the Skills-Registry System”; and “Best PESO in Phil-jobnet Registration”.

Binay lauded the officers and staff for anchoring the city’s productivity drive in grassroots development.

Aldon, also president of PESO Association of Metro Manila and PESO Managers’ Association of the Philippines, received the “Active Involvement Award” together with PESO managers Norman Mirabel, Taguig; Gil Munar, Marikina; Flourescelle Austria, Malabon; and Genesis Sanoy, Navotas.
