About 10,000 visitors troop to Manila North Cemetery

The number of visitors in Manila North Cemetery stands at about 10,000 as of Saturday noon.

This is the estimate of the Manila Police District (MPD) three days prior to the All Saints’ Day on Tuesday.

Police say, the entry of motorcycles and private vehicles into the cemetery is still allowed until Saturday afternoon, but it will be closed to motorists beginning Saturday evening.

The Manila Department of Public Services has stationed ambulances in the vicinity.

Its personnel are cleaning major portions of the cemetery and replacing some busted bulbs of street light poles.

The Manila North Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Metro Manila located in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

It is the biggest cemetery in the National Capital Region at 54 hectares and is owned by the City Government of Manila.
