Sandiganbayan has allowed Senator JV Ejercito to travel to Japan.

At the same time, it has ordered the lawmaker to submit letters of authorization from President Rodrigo Duterte and Senate President Koko Pimentel.

The ruling comes, amid the graft and technical malversation charges he faces before the anti-graft court.

The senator will be part of President Duterte’s delegation.

The group will be in Japan for a state visit from October 25 to 27 this year.

Duterte had invited Ejercito to join him in the trip.

Ejercito thinks, the President wants to travel with him after he filed the Senate bill seeking to grant Malacañang emergency powers to solve the perennial traffic congestion in Metro Manila.
