Duterte now in Jakarta for meeting with fellow Filipinos

President Rodrigo Duterte is scheduled to meet with the Filipino community in Indonesia on Friday.

This event is set at 11:30 am in at Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta.

Then, he is set to hold another meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Duterte hopes to seek clemency for Mary Jane Veloso, who is on death row after being convicted by court for drug smuggling.

He arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport in Jakarta on Thursday night.

This is Duterte’s second foreign trip as President, following the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Laos.
