Revival of death penalty pushed in the House

House Minority Leader Rodolfo Farinas is pushing for the revival of death penalty.

He says, the high number of local government officials who are coming out as a result of President Duterte's identification of politicians with drug links is proof, it is time to impose the death penalty.

Right now, House leaders are discussing their response to calls for investigstion on alleged extra-judicial killings of drug suspects.

Speaker Pantaleon is not keen on conducting the probe.

Meanwhile, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) says, President Duterte will come out with a second list of personalities allegedly involved in illegal drug trade.
