For her “world-class” achievement in public service and legal jurisprudence, Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) chief Persida Rueda-Acosta has received at least 21 awards in 2022.
Nonetheless, Acosta vowed to work harder to further improve public service delivery in 2023.
The country’s 2,500 public lawyers are committed to serve the poor and those aggrieved under the Rule of Law, she said.
Acosta received the Gawad Filipino 2022 Hero Award and the Gawad Dangal Filipino Award as an outstanding public servant.
Even the Philippine Fashion Circle Association gave Acosta the PFCA Award, “the first in Philippine fashion,” along with the PFCA Women of Significance Award.
Acosta was also honored during the Joint Commencement Exercises of Justice College of the Philippines, and by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office in recognition of her unwavering support to gender equality and women empowerment.
She likewise received the 5th Philippines Empowered Filipino Men and Women Award, the Crystal International Women Award, the World-Class Excellence Japan Outstanding Award in Public Service, the Maharlikang Filipino Award in Leadership, the Elite Business Award, the Asian Sterling Award in Most Outstanding Individual Achievement in Legal Practice and Public Service, the Best Magazine Six Outstanding Men and Women Award, the Gawad Filipino Icon Award and the Diamond Excellence Award as an outstanding host #PALA.
The rest were the Global Iconic Aces Award as the Attorney of the People and Ace Public Attorney, the Hall of Fame Award (Filipino Faces of Success), the 35th Aliw Award, The Outstanding Filipino Award from the Junior Chamber International Senate Philippines, the Metro Excellence Leadership Award and the Aspire Magazine Award for her inspiring personality.
In 2004, the PAO chief received the highest presidential award for Outstanding Public Service—the Lingkod Bayan Award.
