Bataan officials led the groundbreaking on Friday afternoon of the P400-million Limay General Hospital in Limay, Bataan.

“This hospital is a dream for Limay officials, a dream for Mayor Nelson David and Vice Mayor Richie David, to provide the hospital needs of residents of Limay and nearby towns”, said Bataan 2nd district Congressman Abet Garcia.

“We have already secured the needed funding of P400 million, which will come from the provincial government, Limay LGU, and DPWH. We believe the DPWH  will see to it that within a year, we already have a well-constructed Limay General  Hospital,” Garcia said.

Governor Joet Garcia said he is confident that a law will be passed to make Limay General Hospital nationally funded under the Department of Health (DOH).

He also said a DOH  official told him that Limay General Hospital could be made regional center for trauma.
