“The suspect was arrested in an operation that stemmed from a tip coming from a concerned citizen. According to the Taguig City Police, information was received from Barangay Intelligence Network agent regarding the suspect carrying a firearm at the motor shop,” he said.

Marces is now under the custody of Taguig City Police Station for proper disposition.

Macaraeg thanked his men, the Meycauayan police, and the people in the community for the arrest of the suspect.

“This successful operation is the product of our police and community partnership toward the attainment of a peaceful community,” he said.

“This is the good thing when the police and the community work together to catch the criminals in our jurisdiction. The carrying of a gun requires a corresponding document and anyone who carries it that is not authorized by the law will be arrested to prevent the crime that may occur in relation to their carrying it,” he added.
