TUGUEGARAO CITY – Cagayan Governor Manuel N. Mamba was formally proclaimed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) as the winning candidate in the province of Cagayan on May 11.

“I thank every Cagayano for the trust and mandate they have given to me. To my wife, Mabel, my children JM and Noel, my brothers and sisters who inspired and supported me along the way,” Mamba said in earning a third straight term.

One of the Top 5 Performing Governors of the Philippines according to RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD), Mamba is now on his third and last term, as he was first elected in 2016 and was re-elected as governor in 2019.

He led the race with 302,025 total votes in the official result of the Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) led by lawyer Irving Calauad.

Meanwhile, incumbent Vice Governor Melvin Vargas was also proclaimed for the same position with 197,611 votes.
