Cusi, in front of Duterte, reiterated the party’s all-out support for his daughter Sara Duterte as the next vice-president, and then repeated the all-out support for presidential candidate Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos Jr. as the party’s only endorsement for President.
After Cusi’s announcement about the party’s support for Marcos Jr., President Duterte — also serving as PDP Laban chairperson — responded with a smile that drew massive applause and cheers from the crowd.
The PDP’s 11-point agenda under the Duterte administration that needs continuity for the next six years are the fight against corruption; eradication of poverty; advancement of peace and order;
Ending the pandemic; defeating communist terrorism; sustaining economic growth; strengthening national defense and foreign relations; generation of jobs; educational reforms; decentralization and local government empowerment; and charter change and federalism.
“Just like President Duterte and the PDP, our next president should prioritize the frontliners,” added Joson, whose Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist #111 had distributed relief goods and provided help to the victims of typhoon Agaton in Maasim, Sarangani over the weekend.
“Our hardworking frontliners have distributed relief goods to the typhoon victims in Maasim, Sarangani, and to other nearby areas as part of our responsibility to the people,” said Joson.
The Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist #111 was one of the three partylists supported by the PDP in the Agusan del Norte campaign rally attended also by Senator Bong Go. The other partylists were AKO OFW #10 and Sandugo #77.
Joson, Cusi, and the rest of the party’s senatorial bets Robin Padilla, Rey Langit, Greco Belgica, and lawyer Salvador Panelo, Rep. Dante Marcoleta and Astra Pimentel were in attendance during the huge campaign rally.
Cusi also praised the Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist for being very active during the time of calamity to encourage the police, soldiers, doctors, nurses, medical staff, barangay workers, food delivery boys, among others, to continue their commitment.
“Our frontliners have sacrificed a lot for the people since during the pandemic— and I would like to thank Mr. Joson for making an initiative to support them and be their guiding light during the darkest times,” Cusi said.
The Frontliners Ang Bida Partylist will pursue a double hazard pay, tax-free allowance, free insurance policies for all frontliners and the abolishment of the no pay, no work policy for the sick frontliners.
