LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will support and work harmoniously with her standard-bearer, former Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., if they win the elections on May 9.

This was the message Duterte conveyed to Filipinos through Sen. Ronald dela Rosa, who represented her in UniTeam’s rally in Borongan Plaza, Borongan, Eastern Samar.

“Sabi niya, Sir Bato, kailangan iparating mo doon sa ating mga kababayan sa Eastern Samar ha, na kung ako maging bise presidente, siguraduhin ko na ako’y isang very supportive at very cooperative na bise president sa ating pangulong Bongbong Marcos,” Dela Rosa told the huge crowd that attended the rally.

The former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief said Duterte would help Marcos address the pressing concerns of Filipinos, especially on the country’s economic recovery from COVID-19 pandemic.

Dela Rosa said the next administration would also need a supportive Senate.

“Para gagana ang takbo ng kabuuan ng administrasyon, kailangan suportado ‘yan ng Senado, na hindi mag-oppose nang mag-oppose hanggang wala nang mangyari, sige lang mag-oppose. Kailangan ang mga magiging senador natin ay puro Uniteam,” he said.

(In order for the entire administration to work, the Senate must be supportive of the administration.  Our future senators should have all come the Uniteam, ”he said.

Duterte did not make it to UniTeam’s Eastern Visayas visit   She and Marcos have agreed to split up in the homestretch of the campaign so they could revisit more areas and reach out remote communities.
