The Light Rail Transit Authority, in partnership with the city governments of Manila and Antipolo, will hold vaccination drives at select stations of LRT-2 starting Tuesday.

Transportation Secretary Art Tugade announced earlier that railway stations would be used as vaccination sites.

“We are making COVID-19 vaccines easily available, accessible, and convenient to the riding public,” LRTA administrator Jeremy Regino said on Sunday.

Commuters may avail themselves of the first dose and booster shots at Recto Station every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at Antipolo Station every Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration must be accomplished at https://manilacovid19vaccine.ph/home.php for the Recto station vaccination and https://antipolobantaycovid.appcase.net/ for Antipolo.

“We encourage our commuters and their family members to get booster jabs for added protection as well as those who have no vaccines yet to avail of our vaccination drive,” Regino added.

He thanked Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Antipolo Mayor Andrea Ynares and their respective city health offices for their prompt and full support.

Philippine Red Cross vaccine buses were also deployed at the LRT-2 depot on February 12 while Manila health care workers were at Recto Station on February 15 and 17 to provide booster shots.
