SNAP hands out 'care packs' to school kids

RAMON, Isabela—Hydropower firm SN Aboitiz Power Group recently distributed Christmas gifts to elementary school students in communities in Benguet, Isabela, and Ifugao, which host their projects.

SNAP Group is a joint venture between SN Power and Aboitiz Power. It owns and operates the 360-megawatt Magat Hydroelectric Power Plant on the border of Isabela and Ifugao, the 105-MW Ambuklao Hydroelectric Power Plant, and the 140-MW Binga Hydroelectric Power Plant in Benguet.

In Ambuklao, Benguet, 319 pupils from Binga and Botic elementary schools received lunch boxes from SNAP-Benguet led by chief operating officer Joseph Yu, chief technology officer Manny Lopez and OIC-plant manager Fernan Tongco.

The lunch boxes came with high-energy biscuits by Pilmico, the food subsidiary of Aboitiz Equity Ventures. The biscuits contain 450 kilocalories and essential vitamins and nutrients, equivalent to one full meal.
