Superbon claimed the inaugural ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title and he did so in the most amazing fashion.

Facing the GOAT of the sport, Superbon sent shockwaves to the entire world after knocking out Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan at ONE: FIRST STRIKE last Friday, October 15 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in what was easily a KO of the year candidate.

It was a well-placed right head kick to the jaw which sent Petrosyan crashing stiff in the canvas as the world watched in shock as the seemingly indestructible Petrosyan lay unconscious.

The finish came in the 20-second mark of the second round, as the Banchamek Gym standout capitalized on Petrosyan overextending with a left straight, exposing his left side for a counter head kick which Superbon willingly took.

All in all it was a historic night for kickboxing fans as they also the bittersweet end to the career of Andy “Souwer Power” Souwer who promptly retired after losing to the highly-touted Marat Grigorian in the semifinals of the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix.

The legendary Dutch suffered a second round TKO via leg injury as Grigorian advanced to the semis against old rival Chingiz “Chinga” Allazov who made quick work of Samy “AK47” Sana early in the evening.

“The Killer Kid” Sitthichai outlasted Tayfun “Turbine” Ozcan via split decision in a battle between the tournament dark horses and he’s now set to face the upset-conscious Davit Kiria who scored a come from behind win over Enriko “The Hurricane” Kehl in the same card.
