The more the merrier is now the mantra of pageant-loving Filipinos after a new national beauty search was launched at the Golden Peak Hotel & Suites, Cebu City on Wednesday.

Hiyas ng Pilipinas, the first Cebu-based national pageant and organized by the Hiyas ng Turismo Pilipinas Foundation, Inc., is headed by Eva Psychee Patalinjug, national director, and former Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific International 2014 and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2018.

The pageant aims to empower young Filipina women through Leadership and Community Service, and to become role models to effect positive change through volunteering, fundraising, and advocacy.

The winners will be given their own platform to enrich others by dedicating themselves to raising awareness and support for philanthropic endeavors.

In a statement, the organization said that they envision Hiyas ng Pilipinas as a force to be reckoned with both locally and internationally; to celebrate women of diverse cultures, and empower them to realize their goals by creating opportunities for success. To be relevant and compete favorably in an industry driven by intense competition and to give Filipinos what they truly deserve.
