SNAP awarded safety seal from DOLE

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan—The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. II (DOLE RO2) confirmed the Safety Seal award to SN Aboitiz Power Magat's (SNAP-Magat), the renewable energy solutions noting its commitment to the highest standards of health and safety provider on July 16, 2021 in Ramon, Isabela.

SNAP-Magat was one of the first two companies in the province of Isabela to receive such an accolade following a thorough inspection and validation of its adherence to government-mandated protocols against COVID-19.

DOLE-Isabela Provincial Head Evelyn Yango expressed her sincerest appreciation to SNAP-Magat for successfully implementing the Safety Seal Certification program's objectives.

Yangco said, their cause is one, to restore and hasten the growth of our nation in which a safer and healthier environment plays a huge part.

“Spread this cause through the mark of the safety seal, for we are sure that this seal reflects the image of the services of the company itself,” echoing the objective of DOLE RO2 Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales.

Meanwhile, Willy Ferrer, SNAP Group Head of Central Maintenance & Technical Services emphasized that this Safety Seal is a testament to their commitment to health and safety as well as the well-being of our employees.

"Safety is of one of SNAP’s core values, the company strictly imposes precautionary measures as mandated by the government and SNAP’s own company protocols,” Ferrer stressed.

The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme which confirms that a company meets the government's minimum public health standards.

The program's goal is to create safer and healthier workplaces that benefit the company, its workforce, the community, and the nation.

SN Aboitiz Power-Magat (SNAP-Magat) is a joint venture of Scatec and Aboitiz Power Corporation (AP). SNAP-Magat owns and operates the Magat HEPP with a nameplate capacity of 360 megawatts (MW) and maximum capacity of 388 megawatts MW; and the 8.5-MW Maris HEPP. The non-power components such as dams, reservoirs, and spillways are owned, managed, and operated by the government.
