Singer and actress Julie Anne San Jose is definitely on a roll. Amid the pandemic, the 27-year-old star continues to release music, star in her own series, and update her fans with digital shows and performances.

Adding another title to her growing catalog, streaming app Viu Philippines released the teaser for the original series “Still,” which features Julie Anne together with singers Christian Bautista and Gab Pangilinan.

The eight-episode musical narrative series revolves around the story of a group of aspiring artists who get stuck in a music camp during the first couple of months of the pandemic. In this time of isolation, they unlock friendship and rediscover themselves and their dreams through powerful and poignant music. The show evokes the anxiety, loss, grief, and sadness that the past year and a half has brought, but it’s also a story of courage, strength, connection, and hope.

Pat Valera, two-time Palanca-award-winning playwright of “Dekada ‘70 (Musical)” and “Mula sa Buwan”, leads the team as the primary creator and showrunner, in collaboration with Giancarlo Abrahan (“Sila Sila,” “Paki,” and “Dagitab”) and seasoned film, TV, and theater actor Nicco Manalo.

Local theater stars Bituin Escalante, Gabby Padilla, Lance Reblando, and Abe Autea  are also part of the series. They’re joined by other theater standouts MC Dela Cruz, Chaye Mogg, Roco Sanchez, Ian Hermogenes, and Shaira Opsimar.

Meanwhile, other than Julie Anne’s upcoming musical series, the singer is also promoting “Limitless,” a musical trilogy slated for Sept. 17 release.

“This is very personal to me, this is something that we have never done before,” Julie Anne stated adding that the tickets are expected to be available by July 30.

“Limitless” will be handled by the producers from New York’s TV and Film awards finalists and from the makers of Alden Richard’s previous virtual reality concert.

The project is Julie Anne’s follow-up to her latest single “Free,” released on May 5. It’s also the reason why she was featured by Spotify as the cover for the Equal playlist that showcases empowering women’s music performances and compositions.

The cover was unveiled on a digital billboard on Times Square, New York.

Previously featured local female singers on Times Square were Nadine Lustre and Reese Lansangan who also became a cover for Spotify’s Equal playlist.
