A gallery within the historical Calvo Building in Escolta, Manila opened its doors to the public in March. The inaugural opening of The Art District Gallery coincided with its first art exhibit—a group show entitled Maynila.

The exhibit ran for a month and featured 22 of the country’s top contemporary artists. Despite the lockdown imposed on the entire National Capital Region during the duration of the exhibit, all of the art pieces exhibited got sold out within weeks before the last day of the show last April 21.
