“I wear jewelry even if I’m just at home,” Lovi Poe shares, emphasizing the importance of dressing up “on days we don’t feel our best” even if we have no other place to go but around the house.
The actress is not one to reserve jewelry for special outdoor occasions, as she reveals wearing her earrings and necklaces and bangles and rings – not necessarily at the same time – even when she’s working out. “I put on a few pieces, and it (wearing them) boosts my confidence,” she says.
That confidence and sophistication she exudes, which made her Imono Jewelry’s brand ambassador and, more importantly, partner since 2015, is the same thing she and the brand wish to share with others.
“We have been partners through these years,” Poe says, referring to the five-year-old jewelry brand whose name is Japanese for “durable”.
“She exudes confidence like no other. She inspires and she empowers,” Imono general manager Goldy Tang-Hing points out, adding, “that is what we aspire Imono to be with our customers: to be confident in your own skin.”
Confidence in style and confidence in the ability to wear the brand’s pieces are possible as it features classic and trendy styles made of non-tarnish and hypoallergenic 316L medical grade stainless steel, which Tang-Hing says is “perfect for everyday wear – whether you’re at the beach, working out, or taking a shower.” She should know, she wears hers in the shower, she says.
Relating how the pieces defy tarnishing and corrosion, the general manager recalls, “We have customers showing off their pieces, our rings, that have stayed the same for the past five years.”
“The fact that we can wear jewelry on a day-to-day basis even if we’re at home is a huge thing,” enthuses Poe. Hence, for her task to curate Imono’s spring/summer 2021 collection, the 32-year-old actress says she selected pieces she likes to wear and others would like to wear.
She explains, “It has to be versatile so it can look good in any outfit for any occasion. It has to be elegant with refined details so it highlights the beauty of the person wearing it. It should also help bring out the best qualities in a person – it’s an extension of what’s within.”
The latest collection consists of a variety of designs incorporating gold and (Poe’s favorite) rose gold plating, stone and pearl embellishments, and gold chains. Styles include bangles, bracelets, anklets, hoop earrings, rings, and layered necklaces, among others at affordable prices.
And with the current pandemic demanding us to disinfect almost every surface and every object possible, Tang-Hing assures the stainless steel pieces require no special material for cleaning and can be sprayed with a conservative amount of disinfectant without having to worry about fading colors or deterioration.
