Environmental experts at Hilton International recognized Conrad Manila as a sustainable property in addition to making an impact in its local community.

The Pasay-based hotel is among the “Sustainable Bucket List: Ten Best Eco-Conscious Hiltons Around the World,” an initiative within the context of Hilton’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy to drive responsible travel and tourism globally.

Five-star hotel Conrad Manila is a LEED Gold certified building whose guest rooms are outfitted with occupancy sensors that control lighting and cooling functions.

“Then and now, we are committed to leading sustainability, having a strong focus on providing our guests with inspired stay, while supporting communities and leading ways in protecting our environmental resources,” enthused Conrad Manila general manager Linda Pecoraro.

As part of a multi-use LEED Gold certified building, the hotel’s guest rooms are outfitted with occupancy sensors that control both lighting and cooling functions, and dual-flushing and low-flow plumbing, among other irrigation fixtures to control water usage.

“When travel restrictions ease,” Pecoraro said, “we look forward to welcoming eco-friendly travelers and guests for their next adventure to experience our unique features as an international luxury destination where they are safe, healthy, and invigorated.”

Conrad Manila boasts a celebrated art program which aims to promote art beyond its decorative function, mounting exhibitions featuring artworks by local artists. The hotel features an expansive collection of 736 art pieces, to date.

It is also committed to supporting the community through quarterly meal packing events with Rise Against Hunger, recycling soap through the Soap for Hope program, and various food banking initiatives.
