Malaysian airline airasia, in partnership with logistics venture Teleport, launched airasia Shop in the Philippines on Thursday.
The online store (www.airasia.com/shop-ph) allows Philippine customers to purchase a wide range of quality authentic products and have them delivered straight to their doorsteps.
Items available include beauty, fashion, electronics and gadgets, health and wellness, kids products, and exclusive airasia merchandise.
“Since the launch of airasia.com as the Asean super app last October, we have meticulously planned the expansion and availability of our product offerings to other markets,” said airasia.com chief executive officer Karen Chan.
She continued, “Today is a momentous occasion as it marks the launch of airasia Shop in the Philippines, making it the second destination in which we have expanded our e-commerce presence, and signifying the importance of the Philippine market to airasia.”
Meanwhile, airasia Philippines chief executive Ricky Isla said, “With the immense growth of our country’s digital economy in just the previous year, we see this as a great opportunity to join the e-commerce industry, redefining duty-free, travel retail, and at home shopping experiences.”
To celebrate the launch, airasia Shop is offering 50 percent discount on selected items and free door-to-door delivery (with no minimum purchase) for all purchases today until Jan. 31.
