Myrtle marks eight years in the biz with virtual show

Myrtle Sarrosa  would like to be known not just for the things she does as an actress or a cosplayer. She’d want the public to also recognize her other talents including her skills as a singer-songwriter and a concert performer.

“I want people to know me as an all-around artist. Since I started in showbiz, I’ve been pursuing numerous endeavors and I always give my full attention in everything I do,” Myrtle told  Manila Standard Entertainment  in a virtual interview.

MULTI-HYPHENATE. Cosplayer, host, singer, songwriter, and actress Myrtle Sarrosa is celebrating her 8th year in the business by staging a virtual concert that  will feature the songs she wrote.

“Some people call me a multi-hyphenate artist. I’d like to think that I portray a positive image, and if that’s how they see me, I need to work hard to meet and exceed their expectations,” she added.  

The cosplayer, host, singer, songwriter, and actress  is celebrating her 8th year in the entertainment industry with a virtual concert called  Myrtle: Still Love Me  happening virtually tomorrow.    

The concert traces her showbiz career in a musical spectacle never seen before from the Kapuso star. It shows her metamorphosis from a teenybopper to the well-rounded artist that she is right now. All these will be narrated through her own songs and today’s hottest hits in the virtual concert.

With the concert title inspired by one of the songs she wrote, the show also highlights  Myrtle  as a singer-songwriter that makes her a cut above the rest among her contemporaries. Most importantly, the virtual concert echoes  Myrtle’s gratitude to all her fans and supporters who have always stood by her through the years.  

“One of the songs na sinulat ko dati  is called ‘Still Love Me,’ which is a song about loving someone despite all the changes that happens through time. We chose it as the concert title because there are so many people who still show me love and support. Despite all the ups and downs, I really want to show people that we still love and care,” explained  Myrtle.  

As the nation and various parts of the world adjust to the new reality of life amidst the coronavirus pandemic,  Myrtle, together with her special guests, hopes to share some musical joy during these trying times.  

She said, “Life is a journey and my experiences in showbiz has been filled with many lessons, obstacles, heartaches, joy, and many special memories. In the past eight years, I learned so much along the way and I realized that everything happens for a reason. Especially during this pandemic, grateful  ako na as an  artist, every day I have the chance to make those who follow me smile and inspire those around me.”
