Janno Gibbs shrugs off competition in noontime blockIn a recent interview, Janno Gibbs admitted that he’s happy with the turnout of his new noontime show on Net 25 called Happy Time with Anjo Yllana and Kitkat.

‘We’re glad about the viewers’ reception of the program,” he said. “So far, the feedback is encouraging. Generally, the comments are positive. And the best part is that the management is happy with our performance.”

It’s inevitable that their show will be compared with other noontime offerings from other networks. Does he feel the competition?

“Yes, it will always be there. But personally, I believe that we’re not really part of the main competition because we’re just a small production. We’re new. I guess, the prime competitors are Eat Bulaga and It’s Showtime then comes our show and TV 5’s Lunch Out Loud,” the host comedian said.

“In fact, we mention our competitors in our show. We say hi to Tito, Vic, and Joey. We believe we’re not a threat to them. First of all, Net 25 isn’t yet available on TV Plus or Affordabox. We’re still waiting for that time. We know our present limitations.”

Despite this scenario, Janno is proud of the strength of Happy Time in other aspects.

“We have a strong following on Facebook and YouTube. We’re also glad about the fact that apart from the solid support we get from the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (which owns the network) people from all walks of life get to appreciate our program.”

Net 25 is known for its wholesomeness, does it mean his humor is controlled or limited in the show?

“Well, for the record, I never resorted to doing green jokes on-air all these times. It’s not really my style. So, I’m happy that young viewers get to watch and enjoy the program.”

In “Happy Time”, he has his own segment called “Janno Gives” which he truly likes.

“I enjoy doing one-on-one interviews in there then, I’ll engage in a jamming session with my guest celebrities. So far, I’m proud that we were able to invite the likes of Vina Morales, Tina Paner, and Faith Cuneta to grace the segment.”

He is noted for coming late in his showbiz commitments. It’s good that he makes it on time in their noontime show.

“Actually, I’ve already changed a long time ago. Even in shooting schedules, I arrive on time now,” ended Janno.

In his recent guest appearance in the morning gabfest Magandang Buhay hosted by Jolina Magdangal, Karla Estrada, and Melai Cantiveros, Sam Milby expressed his current happiness brought about by his relationship with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

“I’m so blessed. First of all, my heart is in a very happy state. My love life is blessed,” he averred.

The appealing actor revealed that his ladylove has become his “go-to” person in the past months when the country has been under quarantine due to the pandemic.

“Well, of course, she’s on top of my list of people whom I would talk to during those times. Then there’s my sibling Ada.”

For Sam, he considers Catriona as “The One” for him. This he admitted during the media con for his presently airing prime time soap Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin opposite Jodi Sta. Maria and Iza Calzado months ago.

“Although it’s too early to say but I do believe that she’s the one. But I’m not in a hurry since of course, we have a ten-year age gap. I’m 36 while she’s just 26. One more thing, her career has just taken off,” he stated.
