MILO launches online Kids’ Athletics Games

The value of exercise and physical fitness while in home quarantine will be the emphasis MILO National Kids’ Athletics Games.

This online challenge will feature video entry contests of kids doing exercises at home.

 And this aims to encourage them to return to playing, and in order for them to remain physically active even if they are locked up at home.

The activity was made possible following a collaboration between the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association and their sponsor, MILO.

 “This is really a measure of Filipino ingenuity, creativity and imagination, coming up producing programs like this,” said PATAFA president Philip Ella Juico following a presentation on Zoom last Saturday.

With kids staying indoors during a time when the threat of a coronavirus pandemic is around, participants who are under the age group of 15, 12, and 10-year-olds will need to submit a video capture of their exercise sessions.

Their sessions will simulate the demonstrations done by the Southeast Asian Games champions in demo videos that will be published online by the PATAFA.

“We want to inspire kids to pursue their championship dreams at home. And through MKAG online, which is leveraged by technology, we are able to drive that pursuit,” said Nestle-Assistant Vice President for Milo Lester del Rosario.

Each week, and up to the second week of February 2021, the PATAFA will select
