Connecting people around the globe since its introduction in 2000, Nokia is the embodiment of reliability and durability—the same commitment exemplified by the new generation of Nokia phones today, which includes one of the brand's latest offering—the Nokia 2.4.
Boasting of a nicely designed unibody just like its predecessor (2.3), the Nokia 2.4 brings some hardware upgrades and a slight change in the design. The result is a solid budget phone that is capable of producing decent photos, satisfactory performance, and great battery life that will bring smiles to the faces of its fans, who abhor bringing along their bulky powerbanks.
The Battery
The Nokia 2.4's biggest draw is its huge battery. In terms of juice, its 4500mAh battery will last two days of usage, although it takes around three-and-a-half-hours to charge the device from 0 to 100% and a microUSB port that supports slow 5W charging, but we don't mind, really.
The Camera
At its price range, the Nokia 2.4's camera doesn't disappoint, producing photos with sharp, dynamic colors especially when taken with natural light. There isn't a pro mode available, but its night mode impresses, pulling off enough light to create decent pictures.
Even the selfies from the front 5MP camera churn out nice selfies in good lighting conditions. Just don't compare them with those produced from high-end smartphones.
The Nokia 2.4 can also record videos of up to FullHD (1080p), with both the front and rear camera, plus an option for extra video stabilization in settings.
The Body, Screen, Design
The Nokia 2.4 also stands out with its design, featuring a textured plastic back and frame around the device, a unibody approach that looks better from its predecessor.
It also feels better. The nanotexture makes the phone less slippery and nice to hold. At the back is the dual-camera with LED flash, a fingerprint sensor (first for the 2 series) and Nokia logo.
The matte color, texture, frame and solid weight make it a comfortable device to hold and use.

Hardware and Connectivity
Because the Nokia 2.4 is a budget device, don't expect it to blow your mind like the high-end smartphones on the market. But its SoC of choice — the MediaTek’s Helio P22 —will suffice for casual usage of net surfing, messaging, video playback, etc.
Performance
The device can handle performance-intensive apps and games, but there is a noticeable slowdown and occasional lag – not surprising for the hardware. Apps are stable, but a bit sluggish at rare times. Gamers, however, won't be disappointed as the phone delivers with flying colors, maybe due to the low graphics and medium framerate. The Nokia 2.4 excels with its hardware and connectivity as there were no signal drops in-network and calls on WiFi or LTE.
Software
The Nokia 2.4 runs on Android 10, but is capable of an Android 11 upgrade. Nokia also promises two years of software updates and a third of security patches. And because the Nokia 2.4 is a member of the Android One family, you'll get a clean, streamlined, Google-approved stock experience that is lightweight, and user-friendly – which are a key edge for Nokia in the budget phone market because it has less clutter.
The Conclusion
The Nokia 2.4 boasts of an excellent design, build quality, battery life, and decent photos for social media use, plus the promise of Android 11 and Android 12 in the future and security updates.
But most of all, what you'd be getting from a Nokia is its reliability and durability – elements that cannot be quantified by any Android update, any MP in a camera or any mAh in a battery.
