Smart Communications Inc. said Monday it secured 600 more permits in the third quarter, helping accelerate its goal to improve customer experience.

“We are grateful for the government’s initiatives that make it possible for us to build more towers in order to deliver the best network quality and nationwide coverage, including the unserved and underserved areas in our country,” Smart president and chief executive and PLDT chief revenue officer Alfredo Panlilio said.

This brought to more than 1,200 the total number of permits that were issued to PLDT since the Anti-Red Tape Authority released a Joint Memorandum Circular in August.

These new permits cover towers to be built in Metro Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao.
