In sharing his techniques with younger practitioners, the 30-year-old De los Santos found the strength and energy to earn another gold medal in the Tokaido Maribor Open E-Tournament.

Because of his winning ways, De los Santos earned more points and moved closer at earning the top spot in the world rankings.

This time, De los Santos came away with a 5-0 blanking of Swiss rival Matias Domont in the finals of the individual male seniors category.

His techniques were again difficult, with the graceful movements of Unsu allowing De los Santos to blank his rival.

“I used Unsu for the finals once again. I kept repeating the kata until I was ready to have it recorded,” said De los Santos, who reached the finals following a 4-1 triumph over Angel Sanchez of Bolivia.

While recording his video performances, De los Santos had two students of the Maharlika Karatedo Kai of the Philippines International in mind, because he shared his experiences with them before they submitted their presentations.

Because of his tips, Fatima A-Isha Lim Hamsain prevailed over Latvia’s Varietjeva Jelizaveta, 4-1, for the gold in the final round of the the women’s under-15 tournament of the kata division in the same tournament.

On the other hand, Julie Anne Marcos settled for the bronze in her 22.27-22.9 loss to Pia Krauzer in the Austrian Junior Open online meet.

“Seeing them compete makes me even exert more effort in my performance. It’s always a great feeling to share your success with others,” said De los Santos.

With his 11th straight win, De los Santos now has 7105 points at second spot. He is now getting close to world no. 1 Eduardo Garcia, who has 8125 points.

Over the weekend, De los Santos bagged two more medals. He clinched his 10th following a close 24.8-24.5 triumph over Garcia in the finals of the the SportData eTournament World Series #4.

His ninth gold medal came when De los Santos got past Murillo Alves of Brazil, 24.6-23.6, in the Hatamoto Kai Mitad Del Mundo E-Tournament.
