Aerian Essentials officially launches its reusable face masks designed and developed by a team led by Filipino designer Albert Andrada in collaboration with renowned chemist Dr. Liu Hongjun of Singapore.

Using a layer of Liu’s patented nanosilver material, the nCamM, each wearable face mask comes with built-in anti-viral properties.

According to its proponents, the technology safely and effectively binds nanosilver particles less than 5 nanometers in size to cloth. Nanosilver, which is positively charged, instantly destroys viruses as well as bacteria, which are negatively charged, when they come into contact.

Liu first began his work with nanosilver in water filtration systems for disaster-stricken areas.

Each Aerian protective face mask has three layers: an exterior layer that blocks particles, the nCamM middle layer that kills viruses upon contact, and a protective inner layer that enhances the item’s longevity.

Aerian Essentials comes in three variants—classic, premium, and luxewear—and in small, medium, and large sizes.

Aerian Classic masks incorporate indigenous prints from The Kadama Collective. Aerian Premium masks are made for everyday use, while Aerian Luxewear masks are designed in Andrada’s signature opulent colors and prints.

According to the brand, each mask can last up to four months. Because the nanosilver is constantly active, recommended cleaning is washing it under running water and mild soap, then hang it to dry.

Aerian Classic is priced at P299 each, Aerian Premium at P799, and Aerian Luxewear at P1999. Go to www.aerianessentials.com for more information.
