Publicly-listed Vivant Corp. named Ramontito Garcia as its new chairman of the board and chief executive amid several changes to its board and management structure, including the addition of Edgar John Garcia as vice chairman and the promotion of Arlo Sarmiento as the president of the company.
Emil Andre Garcia was appointed senior vice president for power. He is also executive vice president and chief operating officer of subsidiary Vivant Energy, which serves as the holding company of Vivant Corp.’s interests in the energy sector.
Garcia expressed confidence in Vivant Corp.’s ability to adapt and thrive amid the challenges that industries and communities currently face.
“As I take the helm of Vivant, it is important to note that our mission, vision and values remain. We have always maintained a future-facing approach to how we do business with an emphasis on adaptability in order to face challenges and grab opportunities to improve the everyday lives of the Filipino people,” Garcia said.
“While this year has seen more unpredictability than any other year in Vivant’s history, I am confident in the abilities and resilience of our team and the strength of our relationships with our partners and communities to know that we will overcome these obstacles and emerge even stronger than before,” he said.
