Home disinfecting products are one of the top items Filipinos bought online in May.

Online rewards platform ShopBack revealed that in May this year, while most parts of the country was under enhanced community quarantine, consumers who used its service ordered a total of 2.1 million items or P1 billion worth of products from partner merchants.

Majority of ShopBack transactions was a list of daily essentials such as rubbing alcohol, vitamins and supplements, mom and baby products, and home furniture and appliances.

Food deliveries and grocery orders came in second alongside home disinfecting products.

According to ShopBack, food and grocery transactions have increased in quantity as well as order value. Compared to 2019 data, the average order value has increased by about 30 percent and still continues to increase month on month.
