Ayala Malls has partnered with Life Cycles PH to provide free bicycles to frontliners.
"As we continue to transition to the new normal, Ayala Malls is doing its part in providing the requisite support to different communities," it said in a statement.
Since community quarantine protocols were enforced in March, many frontliners had to walk to get to work due to the absence of public transportation.
While some cities and hospitals provided shuttle services, these could not accommodate the volume of people who need to leave the house for critical work.
As a small gesture of support and gratitude to these modern-day heroes, U.P. Town Center, through the help of Life Cycles PH, is donating free bicycles to healthcare workers as means of transportation to and from their homes.
Frontliners may avail of this service by presenting a company ID for verification and monitoring at the Life Cycle Station along Phase 1, near Mercury Drug in U.P. Town Center.
To date, 21 bicycles have been donated to various beneficiaries.
And since cycling is increasingly becoming more accepted as an ideal mode of transportation as the population moves toward a new way of life under the "next normal," Ayala Malls has made it easier for all patrons to enjoy a safer shopping experience by providing designated bicycle racks in all its malls.
