Food is KC’s language of love

Food is KC’s language of loveIn a recent online interview, KC Concepcion expressed how she misses her mom Sharon Cuneta as they are unable to be physically together due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 35-year-old actress lives independently in her condominium, which is not that far from her mom’s house.

“She sends a lot of food and I also send from time to time. I guess that’s how we express our love—through gifts. My mom and I, in a way, have the same love language, where we like to give each other gifts,” she says.

But KC points out that theirs is not a perfect mother-daughter relationship. They also pass through difficult moments like any normal family.

“At the end of the day, all that’s happening within our circle should stay in the family. Just like any family, nobody’s perfect. We go through bumps along the way. The only difference is we’re public,” she adds.

As a mother, KC is all-praises for Sharon. She said the Megastar is such an amazing mom.

“She gave birth when she was 19, so I’m sure that was also very hard for her. We were both babies. She had a baby when I was a baby. Maybe she wasn’t ready as she could have been,” she shares.

At this point,  KC wants to make up for lost times. She is simply grateful to all those who are there supporting their mother and daughter relationship.

“Every day, you just want everything to be nice, light, and happy. For one, I’m not a perfect daughter. Nobody is. But what’s important is what happens now. If there was time lost before, I think the important thing is for us to embrace both each other’s imperfections, forgive and become loving towards each other. That’s the best we can do,” she ends.

Actor Matteo Guidicelli is optimistic that despite its shutdown, ABS-CBN will eventually be back on air. He and his wife Sarah Geronimo are “always praying that our home studio will be back soon.”

“All we need is humility, unity, and peace. I believe that Filipino people want ABS-CBN and love it like a family. So, I believe it will come back one day and all the issues will be resolved,” he says.

The 30-year-old actor admits to being surprised when the Kapamilya network went off the air on May 5, due to some dispute in relation to the application for renewal of its 25-year franchise.

“It’s heart-breaking. But we’re just being positive that everything will be okay. With your prayers and sincerity, and with your humility and being positive, things will be okay. You have to stay positive because it’s futile to put more fire to fire, right?”

Matteo hopes that things will get settled eventually.
