The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas said this after the SBP indefinitely suspended the staging of any courtside activities that it has initiated.

The governing body for basketball in the Philippines made this decision while authorities continue to deal with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

“The SBP is looking at conducting clinics using the digital platform (internet), so that the transfer of technology and knowhow for the benefit of our basketball constituents all over the country continues, unhampered by COVID-19,” said the SBP, which is headed by Alfredo Panlilio, in a statement.

And this was contained guidelines that were sent to local organizing committees throughout the world.

According to the guidelines, member countries can now allow 3 to 6 weeks of training prior to the restart (of tournaments).

Their practices must start with individual training to small groups to full team training, according to the recommendations.

The activities mentioned involve games in the regular 5×5 tournament, and the 3×3 competitions as well.
