Foundation hands out chickens to Pilar villages

Pilar, Bataan—The Bounty Care Foundation has donated a total of 7,200 heads of live chicken to residents of 19 villages in this town, the local government said Tuesday.

Mayor Charlie Pizarro expressed thanks to the foundation for helping their residents “in this time of crisis brought about by the COVID-19 coronavirus.”

Bounty Fresh Chicken has a dressing plant in Hermosa town.

A week ago, 201 families in Purok Maisan, Brgy. Sta. Rosa here were given relief goods by the Masungsong-Velasco family, who responded to the town’s Adopt-a-Purok campaign.

As of April 6, the Bataan Inter-Agency Task Force reported that the province has 23 confirmed COVID- 19 cases, with 3 deaths, 7 recoveries, and 173 moderate-to-severe patients under investigation (PUIs), 1,234 mild PUIs, and 11,591 persons under monitoring.

The newest COVID-19 case is a 71-year old woman from Samal, whose 75-year old husband was earlier tested positive for the disease.
