To ease access and delivery of social services, the city government of Navotas inaugurated Monday its social services one-stop-shop at the Navotas City Hall compound.

Mayor Toby Tiangco, together with Rep. John Rey Tiangco and other city and barangay officials, led the blessing and ribbon-cutting of NavoServe at the Navotas City Hall Annex.

“People who visit the city hall and apply for social services come from the vulnerable sectors of the community.  To alleviate at least a bit of their concerns, we need to ensure that they get the help they need in a manner that is comfortable, easy and convenient,” said Mayor Tiangco.

Congressman Tiangco, on the other hand, reminded city hall employees to always serve with compassion and care.

“Most of those who come here for help do not have much in life. Let us always strive to treat them with respect and compassion,” he said.

NavoServe offers a seamless processing of documents required to avail government assistance including the certification from the City Information and Communications Technology Office, certificate of indigency, and social case study.

It provides services such as the Navotas Hospitalization Program; medical assistance from Mayor Tiangco; Commission on Higher Education educational assistance and medical assistance from Congressman Tiangco; processing of senior citizens and persons with disability ID and booklet; and burial assistance.

The one-stop shop also caters to senior citizens who would claim their P500 NavoRegalo and PWD students who would get their educational assistance.

Meanwhile, Navotas also opened a child-minding room in the first floor of its city hall to support employees and constituents with children.

“A safe and secured environment for their kids is one of the top concerns of a parent.  By having a child-minding room in the city hall, our employees and constituents could go about their work or attend to their businesses without worrying about their children,” Mayor Tiangco said.
