The ninth edition of the Hotel Suppliers Show will kick off on September 20 to 22 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City. The show will coincide with the Food & Beverage Suppliers Show, and Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment Philippines. The 9,800+ sq. meter expo will be fronted by major sponsors such as Globalinens Worldwide Inc., Hafele Philippines, Harle Philippines, Pacific Paint Boysen Philippines, and Tosot Philippines. Three industry related symposiums will be held: The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) conference, hosted by the Philippines Institute of Interior Designers (PIID); the National Building and Property Management Summit, a conference for business and trade professionals from the property and construction sector; and the Building Green Conference by the Philippine Green Building Council. The local hospitality industry has been growing stronger each year. The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) said the travel and tourism sector contributed a total of P3.35 trillion to the Philippines’ economy, accounting for about 21 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the year 2017. The industry is expected to rise by 5.9 percent for this year.
