Colours brightens up programming

Cignal TV’s entertainment and lifestyle channel Colours recently launched its brand new programs to brighten up its programming menu.

The burst of bolder and brighter new shows are geared toward driving its targeted female audience to becoming better, more beautiful and bolder versions of themselves.

 According to Cignal TV President Jane J. Basas, “The women of today are on top of their game in whatever field they delve in. They don’t settle for second best – be it at home or at work. They work hard at achieving their goals and get things done, quickly and it the most colorful and creative ways. This is the audience to which the revitalized Colours cater.”

Celebrity hosts Danica Sotto-Pingris and LJ Moreno-Alapag lead Mombiz. Danica and LJ, both married to basketball heroes, are also entrepreneurial moms. During the event, Danica and LJ gave a sneak peek of their show that gives tips and stories about several other “supermoms” that have gained success in their field of expertise, business and in their family life. Mombiz  features real moms who journey to find creative, colorful and fun solutions to everyday situations that challenge them everyday.

Pia Guanio hosts the engaging 30-minute program, 40 is the New 30. According to TV executive Wilma Galvante who represented Pia at the launch, the magazine show features women who, even at their 40s, manage to look, think and feel young in their endeavors. The show focuses on the newfound highs of self-discovery and reinvention that women at this age range can enjoy to the hilt.

Other shows that will revitalize the Colours channel are: Celebrity Scoop, which will feature showbiz celebrities, the latest on beauty and lifestyle news and more; Fashion Forward, a show that helps today’s fashionista stay up-to-date on the hottest trends in fashion beauty and lifestyle; and InstaGlamour takes a peek at the lives of today’s biggest stars through the lens of social media. 

Movie fans will get their fill of the latest news from the big screen, international festivals, premieres and awards shows and the weekly countdown of top box office blockbusters from Films & Stars.

Film buffs will surely enjoy the slew of Cine Filipino film masterpieces by today’s up and coming directors. From Monday to Friday, moms will love lifestyle programs such HGTV at 7 p.m., AFC/Food Network at 8 p.m. and The Travel Channel at 10p.m..

Even kids are in for thrilling visual treats. Moms get to bond with their toddlers and pre-schoolers with Dinosaur Train. Hop on board the fun and educational Dinosaur Train to learn about natural science, natural history and paleontology. Each episode features Buddy, a preschool-aged Tyrannosaurus Rex, and his adoptive Pteranodon family traveling on a special train to meet all kinds of dinosaurs and explore the world inhabited by these amazing creatures. 

Cignal executives believe that women, particularly young moms, can be empowered but they don’t have to lose their identity in the process. They simply want these women to add cheer and fun as they grow in knowledge and savvy. These women’s lives will definitely be better and brighter with Colours Channel.

The Colours Channel is available to Cignal TV’s 1.6M subscribers and also available in over 200 local cable affiliates all over the country.
