IT couldn't get any better for Barangay Ginebra.

Justin Brownlee sank a picture-perfect game-winning three at the buzzer to give the Gin Kings a classic 91-88 victory against Meralco and more importantly, the championship in Game 6 to win the best-of-seven finals of the 2016 Philippine Basketball Association Governors' Cup Wednesday night.

Ginebra took the finals, 4-2, in a fairytale finish to finally end its eight-year title drought with this sweet championship win.

Brownlee dropped 31 points while LA Tenorio, who was named as the Finals Most Valuable Player, scored 25 points as the two led the Gin Kings from 15 points down late in the second all the way back to win it.

It was a classic encounter with both protagonists hitting big shot after big shot in the payoff period.

With 5.5 ticks left and the game tied at 88-all, Ginebra went to Brownlee and he delivered with that unforgetable game-winner as time expired to bring glory back to Ginebra, which was inspired by the presence of its living legend Robert Jaworski.
