An exclusive leisure destination in Tagaytay had quite a challenging start to the year. The Taal Volcano eruption forced it to close. It reopened weeks later. Then came coronavirus, which has required operations limited.

Exclusive mountain resort Tagaytay Highlands implements safety measures led by its COVID-19 task force to keep residents safe and healthy.

Despite an ongoing pandemic, it continues to offer what it offers best—a safe haven in a tranquil setting—with added safety protocols to ensure health and safety of its residents and members, and their guests.

According to Tagaytay Highlands, it’s an ideal place in which to spend quarantine. It has wide-open spaces and low-density communities where physical distancing is easy to do, its relaxed environment can help manage stress and anxiety, it boasts complete facilities and utmost privacy and security.

Tagaytay Highlands has quickly adapted to the current situation, implementing stringent health and safety measures for residents’ benefit.

Following the Department of Health’s guidelines, the mountain resort created its own COVID-19 task force for the duration of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine. A skeleton force also continues to operate under the guidelines to service its residents.

Led by Tagaytay Highlands’ company physician, the task force closely monitors the situation inside and outside the complex, provides updates, and participates in collective efforts to maintain cleanliness and safety in the property.

All frontline workers are mandated to wear face masks for protection. Alcohol and hand sanitizers are available in key areas of the property. Its medical clinic is accessible 24/7 with doctors and trained nurses, ambulance service, and an isolation facility available.

Other protective measures are likewise being observed in the premises. For instance, all individuals undergo thermal scanning upon entering the property. Temperatures are again checked at all main entrances.

All public areas, including entrances, exits, and frequently touched surfaces, are routinely disinfected and equipped with foot baths.

Residents and personnel under work-from-home arrangements are also urged to follow health and safety precautionary measures in their respective places. Access to emergency hotlines for estate and residential communities, and other Club concerns, are made available for easy reference.

Tagaytay Highlands’ dining establishments—The Great Room at The Spa and Lodge, Highlander Steakhouse, and Highlands China Palace—accept take-out and delivery orders within a prescribed period. The convenience store is also open.
