AirAsia guests with flight bookings made on or before March 22, with departure date between March 23 and May 31 may opt to rebook to a new travel date or transfer the full amount to their credit account.

AirAsia rolls out flexible rebooking options for eligible customers with flight dates between March 23 and May 31.

The low-cost airline offers unlimited flight change to eligible guests with direct online bookings made via airasia.com. 

They can change to any new travel date before October 31 on the same route for an unlimited number of times without any additional cost subject to seat availability; 

Or

Guests may opt to retain the value of the flight booking in their AirAsia BIG Member account for future travel to be redeemed within 365 calendar days from the issuance date. The travel date of the new booking can fall on any date within the published flight schedule on airasia.com.

AirAsia encourages guests to refer to its COVID-19 Guide to check their eligibility.

“For group bookings or those made with travel agents, kindly refer to your respective booking agent for further assistance,” the Malaysian airline said in a statement. 

To those with unanswered inquiries, however, AirAsia said its customer support services including its AI chatbot AVA are currently receiving “very high volume” of requests, but “we are doing everything we can to assist our guests during this time.”

“Please bear with us as we prioritize guests with immediate flight departure needs first,” it said.
