After three years of developing the “perfect formula” for Filipino palate-approved plant-based protein, San Miguel Foods finally rolls out its vegetarian line.

San Miguel Foods’ vegetarian line includes already-cooked, plant-based giniling, nuggets, meat-free balls, burger patty, and sausage.

Veega consists of five plant-based, already-cooked variants, including giniling (P99), nuggets (P115), meat-free balls (P99), burger patty (99), and sausage (P120).

Produced locally, San Miguel Foods’ first vegetarian line uses wheat, soy, mushroom, and egg as meat substitutes. No preservatives are added, the company said.

Veega’s plant-based variants (from left) include meat-free balls, nuggets, and giniling.

Veega products are now available in select branches of leading supermarkets nationwide: SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket, Robinsons Supermarket, Rustans Supermarket, Puregold Price Club, All Day Supermarket, and Metro Gaisano Supermarket, among others.
