IWD summit features #DontTellMeHowToDress exhibit

The recent International Women’s Day Summit 2019 held at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura Premier featured talks and exhibit that tackled challenges women face on a daily basis.

IWD summit features #DontTellMeHowToDress exhibit
HE Ambassador Harald Fries of Sweden and Madame Susan Fries at the International Women's Day Summit '19

The event, hosted by SPARK! Philippines, the embassies of Austria and Sweden, and the United Nations Population Fund drew together members of the diplomatic corps and various focus groups. 

Talks included gender-based violence, economic empowerment, and being taken seriously in industries that are dominated by men.

IWD summit features #DontTellMeHowToDress exhibit
#DontTellMeHowToDress exhibit features 13 different outfits and information about the movement which originated in Thailand.

Meanwhile, the #DontTellMeHowToDress exhibit at the Podium, which was adopted from Thailand’s movement of the same name, was intended to encourage women to step forward and rise against gender-based violence.
