Anne Curtis embraces femininity in three new looks

If there’s one person that Filipinos look up to for fashion inspiration, it’s Filipino-Australian actress Anne Curtis-Smith. Whether singing her heart out, hosting It’s Showtime, lounging with friends, or spending time with her family, Anne always turns heads with her style without losing touch with her feminine side.

Lately, Anne found three new looks for various occasions in the latest collection of Plains & Prints. The new series made by Rosanna Ocampo is dainty yet striking, complete with ready-to-go pieces suitable for modern women who are always on the go.

The Plains and Prints x Rosanna Ocampo Collection features 11 pieces, consisting of three tops, four dresses, three co-ords, and one bottom—all of which are so distinctive of Ocampo’s mood and personality. Each piece has creative distinctions in pattern, material, and overall design.

Anne has three choices from the collection for three specific occasions, having brunch with friends, working, and going on a romantic date with her hubby Erwan Heusaff. For brunch, she prefers wearing pieces with natural colors and a simple yet chic vibe for a stylish and comfortable ensemble.

Meanwhile, for work, Anne goes with pieces from the Rosanna Ocampo collection that combine femininity with bold colors and defined textures.

Lastly, Anne shared during the launch of the Rosanna Ocampo collection of Plains & Prints last July 7 that date nights warrant outfits that are classy yet fun, much like the pieces that have pastel colors and vibrant prints.

Ocampo, who studied and trained in one of the top global fashion schools—Istituto Marangoni in Milan, drew inspiration from good music, warm sunny days, and wanderlust. She took it upon herself to create ensembles that empower girl bosses to do what they do best while looking feminine, flirty, and sensual.

“When I was asked to do this collaboration, I just wanted it to be a continuous process of what I already normally do. [I think] When you reach a certain age, you’re already so confident in your [own] skin to wear a lot of colors and all these details, which means you already know who you are,” Ocampo said.

The color palette imbibes a relaxing day at the beach as it highlights tones reminiscent of the tropical colors commonly seen in the streets of Havana, Cuba. For more formal events, the collection also includes pieces with neutral tones. Intricate embroidery details, geometric prints, and asymmetrical cuts blur the lines between relaxed and conventional, making it easy to transition from one occasion to another.

Meanwhile, Plains & Prints owner Roxanne Farillas is ecstatic about the collaboration with Rosanna.

“This collab makes sense. It just feels right–Rosanna’s designs are [so] in sync with our brand and [our] mission. I’m excited to introduce the collection to our discerning patrons,” she said.
